Accepted Credit Cards & Multiple Cards on Family
If you are set up for credit card payments in Jackrabbit, the first section of settings is where you will define which credit cards you will be accepting. Contact your Payment Partner to determine which cards you are set up to process. These settings affect your Online Registration Form and your Customer Portal > My Account tab. An error message will be received if a family attempts to use a card that is not accepted.

Jackrabbit offers the option to maintain up to three credit cards on file for each family. One card can be selected as the customer's Primary Card (the card that the family considers their main credit card and the card that is used in Transactions > Process Credit Cards/Bank Accts). Update your settings based on whether you prefer to maintain up to 3 cards or prefer to only allow 1 card per family. You can learn more about using multiple cards on file by going to Multiple Cards per Family.

  1. Point to Tools and click Credit Card/Bank Account Settings.
  2. In the first section of settings change Allow 3 card per family/account? to Yes if you want to allow up to 3 cards per family or No if you prefer to only allow 1 card per family. Jackrabbit defaults this setting to No.
  3. Save Changes.
  4. It may be necessary to log out of Jackrabbit and log back in to see the updated setting.

Online Registration ePayment Settings

If you plan to use Jackrabbit's online web registration, be sure that you are aware of what ePayment options you’ll be offering (credit card &/or bank draft) and that you’ve updated your Jackrabbit online registration settings accordingly. By doing this, you’ll prevent a customer from entering a card # for a card type you do not accept as well as prevent them from entering bank account details if you do not accept bank drafts.

  1. Point to Tools in the menu bar and click Credit Card/Bank Account Settings.
  2. Scroll down to Online Web Registration Settings.
  3. Set Credit Card Required to Yes, No or Optional. Setting this to No will hide the credit card information fields on your web registration form.
  4. Set Bank Account Required to Yes, No or Optional. Setting this to No will hide the bank account fields on your web registration form.
  5. When both Credit Card Required and Bank Account Required are set to Yes, set Credit Card and Bank Account Required to either Only One Required or Both Required.
  6. Save Changes.

Customer Portal ePayment Settings

If you have activated your Customer Portal you will need to determine whether your families can update their ePayment information through the portal.

  2. Scroll down to the Customer Portal Settings.
  3. Select Can Update, View Only or Hidden for both Credit Card Information and Bank Account Information. If you are not accepting one of the forms of ePayment, select Hidden for that method.

Zippy Alert!
To enable your families to make payments through their Customer Portal, and to control what type of payments are made, additional settings are required. See the Portal: ePayments (optional) topic of the Online Registration Help section.
